Essential Job Functions:

• Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions regarding products sold within the department and throughout the store.
• Use all equipment in deli/bakery/bistro such as the refrigerators, freezers, slicers, fryer, scales and ovens according to company guidelines. (must be 18 years of age)
• Adequately prepare, package, label and inventory ingredients in merchandise.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Adhere to policies and procedures pertaining to sanitation, temperature logs, product dating, shrink and product rotation.

Requirements:

• Ability to handle stressful situations
• Effective communication skills
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)
• Deli experience preferred but not required
